How to Be a Good Dog LLC.

I'd really like to get some basic obedience classes started!  In order to get some classes up and running, I need to know who's interested!  So, if you would be interested in attending a basic obedience class with your dog, let me know.  You can email me by clicking on the Contact Us link and filling in the required information, or give me a call at 717-816-6817.  As soon as I have five dogs, I'll start the class.  Also, if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to learn that you don't see on the tentative outline let me know!  I'd really like to have your input.

Goals

• to offer an obedience class focused on positive training methods
• to help owners increase their dog's confidence and strengthen the bond between dog and owner
• to increase the number of good canine citizens in our community
• to increase the number of responsible dog owners in our community
• to share the joy of having a well-behaved dog as part of the family

Tentative Outline for Basic Obedience Class

Class would be held once a week for approximately one hour.  Each week time will be alotted for questions, discussion, and hopefully some playtime! 

Week 1

• Settle
• Sit
• Recall (Come)

Week 2

• Down
• Walking politely on lead
• Handling exercises

Week 3

• Stay
• Off command 
• Handling exercises

Week 4

• Review 
• Stand
• Heel

Week 5

• Review 
• Place command

 Week 6

• Give
• Graduation
